Why the Change?
We’ve always believed that every child deserves the opportunity to realize their full potential.
From our start in 1995 as Bright Beginnings, a Colorado home visiting program, our mission has been to light the way for families, ensuring that parents and caregivers have access to the trusted resources they need to nurture their child’s development.
A decade ago, we pivoted to a new way of getting information into families’ homes: through the devices at their fingertips. Today, we reach nearly half a million families (in all 50 states!) with information sent to the trusty companion always in their pocket: their cell phone.
This year marks 30 years of supporting hundreds of thousands of parenting journeys. We’re more than just a resource–we’re your village.
With growth comes change. We’ve outgrown our childhood bedroom–know what we mean?
As we celebrate three decades of service, we wanted a fresh look and feel that better reflects our vision. The name “Lantern” symbolizes our role in guiding families and lighting the way to education, wellness, and connection. Like a lantern lighting the path, we aim to provide clear, reliable, and timely information to families to help every child thrive.
What to Expect
Though we’re growing, our dedication to our mission remains the same. Our messages help parents feel more confident, competent, and connected–to both their child and their community. Everyday, we hear from parents who have found comfort, inspiration and support from our program.
Our team works each and every day to increase our positive impact. And though our name and look have changed, our unwavering commitment to serving families remains the same.
Families will continue to receive trusted tips, resources, and activities directly to their phones—always free, always helpful. Our rebrand brings a shiny new visual identity, improved resources, and exciting opportunities to engage with our growing community.
